The cast and crew of ‘RRR’ recently threw a party in Mumbai to commemorate the film’s enormous global success. As the film approaches the Rs 1,000 crore mark at the global box office, the ‘RRR’ team had ample reason to throw a huge party. The whole cast of the film was in attendance, including director SS Rajamouli and actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR. Apart from the ‘crew of RRR,’ the celebration was attended by the film industry’s who’s who, including blockbuster Aamir Khan, veteran star Jeetendra, newcomer Palak Tiwari, and actor Huma Qureshi, producer Karan Johar, and lyricist Javed Akhtar.
Additionally, a sizable media contingent attended the event, where journalists raised numerous questions regarding the film. One such question concerned Ram Charan’s potential to eclipse Jr NTR.
According to a report on bollywoodlife.com, Ram Charan stated that this was not the case at all, as both Jr NTR and he were presented equally in the film as per director SS Rajamouli’s concept. He stated that it was a joy working on the film alongside Jr NTR. And the best thing about Ram Charan’s response was that Jr NTR agreed with it entirely.
‘RRR’ has had an incredible run at the box office since its March 25 release.
The pan-Indian film, which starred Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Jr NTR, was a deft synthesis of fiction and history. Set in 1920, ‘RRR’ delves into the unrecorded period in the lives of Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR) and Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan), during which both revolutionaries chose to disappear before joining the struggle for independent India. The film used a historical blind hole for a cinematic spectacle, as there appear to be no records of these freedom fighters’ life when they were away from their homes. The film, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, was released in theatres on March 25.
