The Covid epidemic is projected to cause a continuation of The Great Resignation, which has already been occurring in India for the past two years, in 2022, according to a report by employment agency Michael Page.
Employees in India are willing to accept lower compensation in exchange for better work-life balance, happiness, and general well-being, according to their results.
Because of the global epidemic, Michael Page’s research The Great X predicts that “not only has it already been taking place for the last two years, but in 2022 it will only see it worsen.”
Across markets, industries, levels of seniority, and age brackets, it is predicted that this tendency will continue.
Overwhelmingly, those polled said that a massive talent migration event is imminent and that we must be prepared for it to increase.
The survey indicated that just 11% of employees who have resigned or plan to quit cite this as a reason for their departure, despite much discussion regarding organizations’ work arrangements (hybrid, working from home, etc.).
The top five reasons for planned resignations include career growth, changing roles or industries, dissatisfaction with salary, and dissatisfaction with the strategy or direction of the firm.
There were 12 nations that were questioned, and India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia had the highest percentage of employees planning to leave their current positions.
