The location and date of Kshama Bindu’s wedding have been finalized. In preparation for the big day, the vows have been written down. Ms. Bindu, from Gujarat’s Vadodara, is engaged to be married, but she doesn’t have to worry about finding a spouse for the wedding.
Pheras and the application of sindoor will be part of the wedding on June 11, as will all other rites and ceremonies.

Ms. Bindu expressed her decision to marry herself as an act of self-love when asked about the first instance of self-marriage or ‘sologamy’ in Gujarat. A Times of India interview with her stated, ” “I had no intention of getting married. I wanted to be a bride, though. As a result, I made the decision to wed myself.”

She said that she had done significant research on the subject online, but had come up empty-handed. She was cited as adding, “Maybe I am the first to set an example of self-love in our country.

Self-marriage, the bride-to-be explained, “is a vow to be there for oneself and unconditional love for oneself. People tie the knot with the person they cherish most in their lives. “Because I love myself, I decided to be married.”

“What I am genuinely trying to express is that women matter,” Ms. Bindu said in response to those who might consider her self-wedding a gimmick.

Bindu, a private-sector employee, noted that her parents have also been supportive of her decision to leave the corporate world. The bride has written five vows to herself in addition to following all of the customs. A two-week honeymoon in Goa awaits Ms. Bindu after her wedding ceremony.
