“Just as the Mirage fighter plane aided the Indian defense forces in their victory in the Kargil War, saving numerous lives, our company’s mission is to enable security and safety, thereby saving the lives of numerous ground workers,” Amrita Sinha, the Founder & CEO of Mirrag AI, explained in an exclusive interview with Startup Story Media.
The outbreak of the global pandemic has sparked several predictions and arguments over the safety of industrial sector personnel and on-the-ground labor. It is worth noting that the Indian industrial sector lacks the necessary resources to ensure employee and infrastructure safety. It’s alarming to learn that every minute, four workers succumb to the harsh hands of death as a result of workplace accidents, resulting in $171 billion in financial losses for businesses. Mirrag.AI was created to bring attention to employee safety concerns and to the benefits that AI may provide.
Mirrag, founded in May 2020, is an artificial intelligence-powered company that enables organizations to manage workplace safety and compliance easily. From intrusion detection to stairwell safety and compliance with industrial PPE, the platform adheres to OSHA safety rules and enables organizations to comply with regulatory bodies’ regulations. By combining data analysis and artificial intelligence, the platform visualizes trends and aids organizations in taking corrective action without collecting personally identifiable information about individuals, thereby preserving their privacy.
From alumni to business owners
Founded by Amrita Sinha, a graduate of Birla Institute of Technology, and Udit Jain and Aditya Biniwale, alumni of IIT Bombay.
Their shared passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to help humanity drew these three together to launch a new venture. Additionally, the Covid problem heightened their enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and provided them with an opportunity to create Mirrag. AI.
Mirrag was conceived during the heyday of Covid when people were afraid to venture out. While sitting together, the founders noticed that the industrial market lacked virtually all provisions for ensuring safety compliance. This realization enabled them to begin their foray into the field of EHS. Mirrag’s brand has been constantly growing, and the company has partnered with MNCs such as P&G, Schreiber Dynamix, Owens Corning, and other conglomerates.
Adapting the experience to a business
Mirrag was originally envisioned as a covid-focused AI-powered product.
AI has been able to broaden its portfolio across numerous industries and produce products that provide clients with benefits such as safety, security, surveillance, and risk mitigation. By harnessing AI’s limitless potential, the business has built a range of safety and security solutions, spanning from intrusion detection to stairwell safety.
Highlighting the startup’s safety suite goods, Mirrag dives into a slew of products linked to worker safety in general, including PPE Detection, License Plate Detection, Intrusion Detection, and Staircase Safety, all of which ensure that workers adhere to OSHA and HSE-mandated standards. Mirrag provides a simple dashboard that presents safety officers with relevant and complete data, enabling them to make informed decisions.
